Start of construction works on the 400/110kV Belgrade 50 substation

The General Director of the Serbian Electric Grid, Jelena Matejić, and the Minister of Mining and Energy, Dubravka Đedović Handanović, visited the initial works on the construction of the 400/110kV Beograd 50 substation in Ugrinovci, one of the key energy infrastructure projects in Serbia.

For the unification of the 400kV transmission line, in front of the 400/110kV Belgrade 50 substation, it is planned to cut the existing 400kV transmission line No. 450 RP Mladost – Novi Sad 3 substation.
In this way, two single-system 400kV transmission lines are obtained:

– 400kV overhead line TS Belgrade 50 – RP Mladost (line B)
– 400kV overhead line TS Belgrade 50 – TS Novi Sad 3 (line A)

Elektroistok Izgradnja Ltd is engaged in the production and installation of all 96 steel lattice towers using the AKZ duplex system, as well as electrical installation works on the input overhead line to TS Belgrade 50 (47 towers).

The Belgrade 50 substation is part of the large infrastructure project BeoGrid 2025, within the broader regional energy project Northern Corridor, which is part of the European ten-year transmission system development plan.

Construction of the 400/110kV Belgrade 50 substation, with an installed capacity of 2×300 MVA, includes the construction of a 400kV plant, a 400/110kV transformation, a 110kV plant, a power plant and relay houses, as well as equipping the plant for its own consumption.

Elektroistok Izgradnja Ltd has been engaged to perform the following works at TS Belgrade 50:

– Electrical installation works on the 400kV switchgear,
– Electrical installation works in the 400/110kV transformation,
– Electrical installation works in the 110kV switchgear,
– Electrical installation works in the 10kV switchgear,
– Electrical installation works in the TS self-consumption plant
– Electrical installation work on lightning protection and grounding systems
– Electrical installation work on protection and control systems
– Construction works on the manufacture, delivery and installation of the steel structure of the apparatus carrier and TS portal
