Tour of works at TS 400/110kV Kragujevac 2

The management of Elektromreža Srbije AD, Elektroistok Projektni Biro Ltd and Elektroistok Izgradnja Ltd visited the substation TS Kragujevac 2, where PD Elektroistok Izgradnja is carrying out works on the reconstruction of the self-consumption system, protection and control system, as well as the 400kV and 110kV plants.

In the previous period, important and necessary works within the self-consumption system were successfully completed, thus creating the conditions for entering the next phase of the project – the reconstruction of the 110kV plant.

Work is currently underway to replace high-voltage equipment within the 110kV interconnection field, as well as the necessary construction works. The completion of this phase will provide significantly more favorable conditions for the continuation of the reconstruction of five 110kV transmission fields, the implementation of which is planned for this year.

In parallel with these activities, construction works are being carried out on the construction of new cable ducts, relay houses, adaptation of the premises of the command and control building, and works on the construction of a concrete plateau intended for the storage of dismantled equipment as well as HV equipment intended for installation have been completed.

The implementation of these activities continues to improve the reliability and security of the transmission system, along with the modernization of key energy infrastructure.
